2006 All Butokukan Karate Tournament

Eleven members of the Butokukan Karate school (SKBN Members) of Port Orchard earned awards in the 27th annual Butokukan karate tournament. In the junior competition, Eryka Greaves earned first in empty hand kata and second in weapons kata. Kendal Hargrove took second in sparring. Eli Nervik had second in sparring and fourth in kata. Brother Eric took fourth in sparring while dad Mike earned third in sparring and second in kata in the adult division. Logan Armstrong had fourth in kata and sister Brittany took second in kata. Emily French came in first in white belt kata.

Head instructor Angie Goodrich came in first in women’s black belt kumite or sparring. Instructors Les Bishop and Walt Juneau also participated.
